If I could give 100 stars, a trophy, and maybe a small parade, I for sure would. ⭐🏆 I came in for an extension consult fully planning to stay in my usual blonde era (it’s basically been my default setting forever). I’ve had my hair every color under the sun including some chaotic vivids, so a change never really scares me. But Rachel casually pulled out a copper weft just to check the length… and that was the moment my blonde era officially ended (little TSwift Eras reference). I was IN LOVE. Fast-forward to my extension and color appointment...and honestly? Best. Time. Ever. If there were an award for Best Co-Stylist of All Time, Liz B wins it without question. 🏆 She helped with the color and was an absolute delight to chat with the entire time. Rachel custom built my extensions and they are beyond perfect. The color, the blend, the length...everything is chef’s kiss. I’m officially obsessed. Moral of the story: RUN, don’t walk, and book an appointment. Your hair and your heart will thank you. 💁‍♀️ So many thanks to Rachel and Liz B!❤️

A fan from the very beginning, I have been loyal to Jovi Salon in Virginia Beach since they opened their doors and I can honestly say it’s not just a salon — it’s a whole main-character moment every single time. My Jovi days are truly my best days, and walking through those doors feels like stepping into the most magical little universe where great hair and great humans collide. First, let’s talk about Rachel Hall — the co-owner, my stylist and the undisputed queen of extensions. Rachel doesn’t just do hair, she performs full-on hair sorcery. The woman has a gift. Somehow she always knows exactly what your hair needs before you even finish explaining it. Every appointment feels like sitting in the chair of someone who is not only wildly talented but also deeply passionate about making people feel their absolute best. And the culture she and Wynter have built at Jovi? Pure magic. It honestly feels like the Disney version of a 90s dream salon where everyone is kind, supportive, and genuinely excited to see you. Then there’s her incredible apprentice, Lizzie B, who deserves her own spotlight moment. Watching her work with Rachel is like watching two people who are telepathically linked. She anticipates everything before it even happens and makes the entire experience flow so effortlessly. But what really makes Lizzie B special is how genuinely thoughtful she is. She remembers the tiniest details about my life and always asks about them when I come in. I’m constantly thinking, how does she even remember that? At this point it feels less like a salon visit and more like catching up with a friend who just happens to help make you feel like a Disney princess while you’re there. And we cannot forget the real-life miracle worker — the salon manager, Leah. I’m convinced she secretly bends time and space. If I have a scheduling dilemma or a last-minute request that feels impossible, Leah somehow moves heaven and earth to make it work. Her dedication to clients is next level, and she makes you feel like you’re the most important person walking through the door. What makes Jovi so special is that the entire team understands something rare: it’s never just about the hair. It’s about how you feel when you’re there. The energy, the kindness, the laughs, the way everyone hypes each other up — it’s the kind of place that feels nostalgic and magical all at once, like the best parts of the 90s where everything felt a little brighter and a lot more fun. If you want incredible hair, amazing people, and an experience that feels like a little dose of magic in your week, Jovi Salon is it.

I first started seeing Wynter in October of last year, and I cannot lie, every time I go in there I have the best time! Hands-down, the happiest place I’ve ever gotten my hair done, fantastic scalp massages, incredible attention to detail from consultation, whether I want a snack or a drink during our appointment, making sure that the color is exactly as I want it, and the styling is always stunning! I love throwing the craziest vivid colors I can think of Wynter‘s way, and she always delivers! AND my hair always turns out even better than what I could’ve imagined. If I could rate this place in 117/10 I absolutely would!!

I had my first appointment with Maddie for a partial highlight and curly cut shortly after she started at Jovi, and she completely blew me away. From the moment I sat in her chair, she made me feel comfortable with her fun, quirky personality while also being incredibly professional and attentive. Maddie truly listens to what her clients want and takes the time to understand their hair goals — which is especially important for anyone with curly hair, because getting a curly cut can be nerve-racking. She made me feel heard and confident every step of the way. My hair has honestly never looked better. The color, the cut, and the way she styled my curls were absolutely perfect. I fully trust Madi with my hair because of her talent, creativity, and genuine care for her clients. If you’re thinking about booking with Maddie — do it. You will not be disappointed!
